Make sure the camera read every corner. The full token is eight hex characters.

Check for typos
Verification links use only digits 0–9 and letters a–f. The character l is never used; the digit 1 is.

Confirm the URL host
Genuine links live on cert-center.org/v/… — be wary of look-alike domains.

Ask the holder for a fresh link
If the certificate is real, the holder can re-send the public URL from their account.
